Kamilia Sofia

Kamilia Sofia has a wealth of experience in the nuclear, aerospace, and oil and gas industries. Kamilia began their career in 1984 at CAE Inc., where they held multiple engineering and program management leadership positions in the nuclear power plant simulation. Kamilia then moved to Dubai Aerospace Enterprises in 2006, where they were the CEO of Services. In 2009, they were appointed EVP Nuclear at Rolls-Royce. From 2011 to 2015, they were the CEO and Managing Director of Methanex Corporation, where they were responsible for all aspects of the commercial and manufacturing business in Egypt. In 2018, they became a Corporate Director at NorthstarE&S, followed by Corporate Director at Atomic Energy of Canada AECL in 2019, and Corporate Director at infinityQ Technology Inc. in 2020.

Kamilia Sofia completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nuclear Physics from McGill University in 1981. Kamilia also obtained an ICD Corporate directors certification in Corporate Governance from McGill University in 2008.
