Sébastien Delorme, PhD has extensive work experience in product development, engineering, research and development, software development, and digital art creation. Starting in 1996, they worked as a Research Assistant at Hôpital Sainte-Justine, developing a software interface for using force platforms and motion capture during 50 spine surgeries. In 1998, they co-founded Meditrack, where they developed 3D skeleton modeling and orthotic treatment assistance, and wrote a business plan and searched for private funding. From 2002 to 2013, they worked at the National Research Council Canada, first as a Team Lead on the NeuroTouch Project, a virtual neurosurgery simulator, and then as a Research Officer on the AngioSim Project, a simulation software for coronary angioplasty. From 2013 to 2016, they were the Director of Product Development at Sologlobe, leading an R&D and Technical Support team of 18 people and introducing agile development principles. From 2016 to 2020, they were the Director of Engineering, Research & Development at OSSim Technologies, managing the development of the flagship product Sim-Ortho, and recruiting all staff under their own supervision. Most recently, they have been the Head of Product at infinityQ Technology Inc since 2022.
Sébastien Delorme, PhD, has a comprehensive educational background. Sébastien began their studies in 1983 at Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf and subsequently attended Polytechnique Montréal, where they earned a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering in 1994, followed by a Masters in Mechanical Engineering in 1996. In 1999, they returned to the University of Ottawa to pursue a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, which they completed in 2004.
