Denis Markovtsev

Denis Markovtsev has over 20 years of experience in software engineering. Denis began their career in 1999 as a Software Developer at the IBM Technology Center at MIPT. During this time, they worked on a database application for document management and a multi-tier application based on IBM e-commerce solution. In 2000, they joined NetCracker as a Software Developer. In 2001, they moved to ISPRAS as a Senior Software Developer, where they were responsible for architecture design of the entire systems and development of particular software modules. In 2005, they joined the Linux Verification Center as a Senior Researcher and worked on the development of a testing framework for POSIX compatible operating systems. In 2007, they became the Co-founder and CEO of GrinMark and was responsible for delivering CRM data to mobile and desktop email clients. Denis also became an Assistant Professor at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University) in the same year. In 2007, they joined SmarteSoft as the Head of R&D Department, where they managed the R&D of an integrated suite of automated software testing tools. Finally, in 2014, they joined Inflectra Corporation as a Principal Software Engineer, where they worked on the Rapise UI test automation platform.

Denis Markovtsev received their Ph.D. in Operations Research from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University) (MIPT) in 2012. Denis also obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from MIPT in 2002. Additionally, they obtained a certification in General and Innovative Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology - Georgia Tech College of Management in June 2006.
