Alan Doak has a diverse background in RF and analog engineering. Alan is currently employed as a Quantum Computer Engineer at ColdQuanta, where they apply their expertise in designing RF communication systems to quantum computers. Prior to this, they worked at FreeWave Technologies as a Staff RF Engineer from 2013 to 2020. Alan also spent time at Ball Aerospace as a Senior Analog Engineer, working on various satellite projects. Before that, they were a Senior RF Engineer at Microtune, where they focused on system-level engineering for RF and mixed-signal TV tuners. Alan's career also includes positions at Digeo, Vectron, Anritsu, and NIST, where they gained experience in RF and analog engineering roles. Alan'swork at NIST as a Student Intern helped shape their specialization in RF/Analog engineering. Overall, Alan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in RF and analog engineering to their current role as a Quantum Computer Engineer.
Alan Doak completed their education at the University of Colorado Boulder, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from 1993 to 1997. Subsequently, they pursued further studies at UC Santa Barbara from 2001 to 2003, earning a Master's degree in RF electrical engineering.
