Paul Hobbs

Paul Hobbs has worked in the IT industry since 1987. Paul began their career as an Electronics Technician for SCC on a YTS Placement. Paul then moved to Policy Master Ltd where they worked as a Support Technician and Programmer on a YTS Placement. In 1989, they joined Kingsland Data Services Ltd as a Programmer and Support Analyst. From 1991 to 2010, they worked at Dowding & Mills as a Software Engineer and Database Administrator. From 2013 to 2016, they were a SQL Server DBA and Application Stack Specialist at Sulzer Management AG. Paul is currently employed at Friend MTS as a DevOps Team Leader and DBA and Linux Systems Administrator and Software Engineer. In 2022, they will join InfluxData as a Systems Support Engineer.

Paul Hobbs has a long history of education, beginning with their Secondary School at George Dixon Secondary School from 1982 to 1987. Paul then attended Key Training for a YTS Programming Course from 1988 to 1989, and Sandwell College of Technology for a Computer Programming course from 1987 to 1988. Paul also attended Key Training for a YTS Electronics Course from 1987 to 1988. From 2001 to 2005, Paul Hobbs attended University of Central England for a Software Engineering course. Paul then attended Halesowen College for a Graphic Design course from 2006 to 2006, and Birmingham Metropolitan College for a Graphic Design course from 2011 to 2011. Most recently, Paul Hobbs attended Ardan Labs for Ultimate Go and Intensive Kubernetes from 2021 to 2022, and InfluxDB University for InfluxDB Essentials from 2022 to 2022. Paul also obtained an InfluxDB Essentials certification from InfluxData in July 2022.
