Toby Marks

Toby Marks has a diverse and extensive work experience in the IT industry. Toby began their career in 1997 as an Oracle Forms and Reports Developer at McIlhenny Company. From there, they moved on to Alcatel USA in 1998, where they worked as an Oracle Applications Developer, specializing in Inventory, MRP, BOM, and OE modules. During their time at Alcatel USA, Toby developed a unique solution for loading MS Excel data into Oracle through Oracle Forms.

In 2002, Toby joined Electronic Transaction Consultants and served as a Developer Team Lead. Toby led a small team of JEE developers in implementing a Struts/JSP-based ground transportation tracking application for DFW International Airport. Additionally, they worked as an individual contributor, focusing on SQL, PL/SQL development, and performance tuning for the Harris County and NTTA toll authorities. Moreover, Toby developed front-end web-based applications using Oracle Web PL/SQL.

In 2008, Toby joined Accenture Enkitec Group as a Principal Consultant. In this role, they worked as a broad-based developer/consultant for the Oracle technology stack. Toby was responsible for the installation and configuration of a 3rd-party gas purchasing application and provided continuous development support for a large regional power company. During their tenure, Toby became a Certified Oracle Big Data Implementation Specialist and gained experience in patching and maintenance on Oracle Big Data Appliance.

Since 2016, Toby has been associated with Infolob Solutions, Inc. Initially, they worked as a Principal Consultant, contributing to various client projects. This included helping clients protect their private data on-premises and in the cloud using Oracle technologies like Virtual Private Database, Data Vault, and Oracle Database Firewall. Toby also aided clients in leveraging Big Data platforms and technologies for data analysis, visualization, and forecasting at scale. Toby further assisted clients with their transition to a Big Data world using Oracle's engineered systems like the Oracle Big Data Appliance and Oracle's Big Data Cloud Service.

In early 2017, Toby took on the role of Director of Security and Data Science at Infolob Solutions, Inc. Toby'sresponsibilities in this position include helping clients protect their and their customers' private data, realizing the full potential of their data, and facilitating their transition to a Big Data world.

Toby Marks completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from 1992 to 1997. Additionally, they obtained several certifications including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2019 Architect Associate, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2019 Cloud Operations Associate, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations 2020 Certified Associate from Oracle, all in May 2020.
