Ian Roberts

Ian Roberts is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the events and exhibitions industry across Asia. Since October 2019, Ian has served as Vice President - Asia and Managing Director at Informa Markets, where responsibilities include leading the Global Hospitality, Food and Beverage Portfolio and the International Sales Office. Prior to this role, Ian was Regional Executive Director for UBM Asia (ASEAN Business) since January 2018, overseeing commercial and operations management. Ian's earlier positions include Managing Director and Director at Overseas Exhibition Services Ltd, where responsibilities encompassed exhibition activities in Indonesia and Malaysia, and managing the mining portfolio in multiple countries. Ian also held the position of Managing Director at Pamerindo Indonesia, focusing on Indonesia's leading B2B exhibitions, and General Manager at Malaysian Exhibition Services, responsible for international trade exhibitions. Ian holds a BSc in Economics and Geography from the University of Reading and has further qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
