Faun Rice

Faun Rice has a diverse work experience, starting in 2012 as a Program Coordinator at The Canadian Indigenous Languages and Literacy Development Institute (CILLDI) until 2016. In 2016, they worked as an Alberta-Smithsonian Exchange Participant at the Smithsonian Institution for a few months. Later, in 2017, Faun worked as a Social Science Analyst Contractor at the Smithsonian Institution, as well as a Research Consultant at the University of Toronto. They also worked as a Copyeditor and Editorial Assistant as a freelancer during the same period. From 2019 to 2020, Faun worked as a Research and Policy Analyst at the Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC), before being promoted to Senior Research and Policy Analyst until 2022. Currently, Faun holds the position of Manager, Research & Knowledge Mobilization at ICTC.

Faun Rice has a diverse education history. In 2009, they began their undergraduate studies at the University of Alberta, majoring in Sociology and Anthropology, and graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with Distinction in 2013. Afterward, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Anthropology from the same institution, completing their studies from 2014 to 2016.

In 2017, Faun Rice attended the Université de Montréal for a French Language Immersion program. The duration of this program was just one year. Although the information does not provide details of a specific degree obtained, it indicates their interest in furthering their language skills and cultural immersion.

In 2023, Faun gained admission to the University of King's College, where they pursued a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Nonfiction, specializing in the field of study. Faun successfully completed their studies in 2025.
