Mélissa G.

Mélissa G. has a diverse work experience in various industries and organizations. Mélissa is currently working as a Senior Program Manager at the Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC) since October 2020.

Prior to that, they held the role of Principal Consultant at Novactis, a company specializing in project and operations management for nonprofit organizations. With Novactis, Mélissa worked with social enterprises, charitable foundations, and advocacy groups at both local and international levels. Mélissa offered services in English, French, and Spanish.

From 2017 to 2020, Mélissa worked as a Project Manager at CIVIX, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating youth about democracy and elections. In this role, they contributed to the organization's mission of developing informed and engaged citizens, particularly through the Student Vote program.

Mélissa also has experience as a Bilingual Customer Service Manager at Consumer Centre Inc in 2017.

Mélissa G. began their education at UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal in 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and International Law. Mélissa then pursued a Master of Laws - LLM at the same institution from 2014 to 2016, specializing in International Law and International Relations. In 2016, they participated in a student exchange program at Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium. In 2019, Mélissa received a Certificate in Project Management from the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies. Currently, they are enrolled in a Software Product Management Specialization program at the University of Alberta, which will be completed in 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Mélissa has obtained various certifications. In 2020, they received a certification in Antiracism from the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI). Mélissa further enhanced their knowledge through additional certifications, including Introduction to Unconscious Bias from CCDI in 2022, and Gender-based Analysis+ from the Government of Canada, as well as Organizational Inclusion from Dalhousie University, both obtained in 2023.
