Scott Barnes

Thermal Hydraulics Engineer at Information Systems Labs

Scott Barnes has a diverse work experience in engineering, primarily in the areas of thermal hydraulics and systems engineering. Scott began their career as an Engineering Intern/Co-Op at Dominion Virginia Power in 2007. In 2010, they joined Babcock & Wilcox as a Safety Analysis Engineer and remained there until 2014. Following that, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Automated Conveyor Systems, Inc. from 2014 to 2015. Scott then served as a Systems Engineer II at GSE Systems from 2015 to 2016. Currently, they are employed at Information Systems Laboratories as a Thermal Hydraulics Engineer, a position they have held since 2016.

Scott Barnes earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University from 2005 to 2010. In May 2010, they obtained the Engineer-in-Training certification from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying. Following that, Scott pursued their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General from Lynchburg College, completing it from 2011 to 2014.
