Stephen Dake

Stephen Dake is the current Virtual CISO at Information Systems of Maryland. Stephen has over 20 years of experience in the field of information security and has held various positions at different companies. Stephen started their career as a Senior Information Security Consultant at Dean Health Plan, Inc. in May 2013. In October 2013, they became the Vice President (AVP) Information Security Technology and Operations, North America at QBE North America. Stephen then moved to American Family Insurance in June 2015 as their Senior IT Security Manager, Cyber Security Architecture, Engineering, and Operations. In January 2016, they started working at SDCyber Security Consulting as an Information Security Advisor. Stephen has been with Information Systems of Maryland since November 2021.

Stephen Dake has a wide range of experience in the field of security and IT. Stephen is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Information Security Management (CISM) professional. Stephen also has experience with Net+, A+, Security, Linux Admin, and MS Sec. In addition, they have a degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Stephen is currently studying towards their CCSP certification in Cloud Computing Security.
