Marco Westergren

Marco Westergren has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Marco currently serves as the Chief Analytics Officer at InfoTiles, a Nordic software vendor focused on improving operations for companies, cities, and utilities. In this role, Marco is responsible for overseeing data gathering, processing, visualization, and integration with various systems.

Prior to their current position, Marco worked as a Staff Engineer - Water and Wastewater at Skedsmo kommune from September 2016 to February 2019. Marco'sresponsibilities included managing the GIS database for water and wastewater equipment and utilizing GIS analysis to improve data quality and planning.

Marco also has experience as a Hydrologist at Statkraft from June 2012 to December 2015. During this time, they gained practical knowledge in data management, data analysis, and quality assurance tools for hydrometeorological data. Marco also participated in fieldwork campaigns related to river flow measurement and gained insight into forecasting and production planning.

Furthermore, Marco served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Oslo in 2014, where they supported educational activities.

Additionally, Marco has prior experience as a Shop Employee at Mekonomen AS from September 2006 to December 2009.

Outside of their professional roles, Marco is also a board member at Smart Water Norway- Vannklyngen, starting in March 2021 and continuing until March 2023.

Marco Westergren attended the University of Oslo (UiO) from 2010 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Hydrology and Water Resources Science. In 2013, they also participated in an exchange program at the University of Saskatchewan, studying in the same field. Marco then continued their education at UiO, obtaining a Master's Degree in Hydrology and Water Resources Science from 2013 to 2016.
