Paulo Melo

Paulo Melo possesses extensive experience in transport and mobility, currently serving as the Director of Transport and Mobility at Infraestruturas de Portugal since June 2015. Prior to this role, Paulo worked as an Expert on safety at level crossings for the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe from January 2014 to June 2015, and held various positions at REFER, including Director of the Level Crossing Department and Responsible for Planning and Monitoring. Paulo's early career includes roles as Director of Works at Jocartécnica - Engenharia e Construção S.A., XIX Construções Projectos e Gestão Lda, and Sataru Lda. Paulo's educational background includes a degree in Railways from the College of Europe, a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from Cardiff University, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology from Cardiff University.
