Shakil Akram

Shakil Akram has extensive experience in the rail and transportation industry. Shakil currently serves as the CEO of A-RAIL AS. Prior to this role, they were the Direktør for salg og bedriftsutvikling at LEONHARD WEISS GmbH & Co. KG.

From 2015 to 2018, Akram was the Director of Sales and Marketing at Infranord AB, where they were responsible for bids, contract negotiation, and project startup. Shakil also played a key role in building strong customer relationships and increasing operational efficiency.

Before joining Infranord AB, Akram worked at Eltel Networks as the Head of Project Management and Assistant Director of Rail and Road. Here, they managed project delivery, ensuring projects were completed on time, within budget, and met quality expectations.

Akram's earlier experience includes roles at Bombardier Transportation, where they served as a Team Leader Electrical System and a Senior Lead Engineer. Shakil also worked at Mantena A/S as a Maintenance Department Engineer and Maintenance Planner and Team Leader.

Throughout their career, Akram has demonstrated leadership skills, strong project management abilities, and expertise in the rail industry.

Shakil Akram began their education in 1995 at Sognhigh School/Elvebakken High School, where they pursued an Electrician education until 1996. Following this, in 2006, Shakil attended Oslo University College for their first year, specializing in Electrical Engineering. Shakil then switched to Cybernetics, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in that field in 2009. In the same period, from 2006 to 2007, they also studied Electrical Engineering at Oslo University College. Additionally, Shakil studied at Michigan Technological University from 2007 to 2008, where they earned another Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. In 2008, Shakil enrolled in Oslo University College for the third year, continuing their studies in Electrical Engineering until 2009.
