Barry White

Chair

Barry White is a recognised leader and strategist in infrastructure, decarbonisation, and economic development, currently serving as an independent non-executive director on a £1bn portfolio of infrastructure concessions and as a consultant working on initiatives in housing, transport, and decarbonisation. With a distinguished career that includes roles such as Chief Executive at Transport for the North and Member of the World Economic Forum's Global Future Council, Barry has consistently driven commercial results and ESG progress across both the private and public sectors. Barry holds a First-Class Honours Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Edinburgh and has an extensive track record of leading major projects, including the £23bn Northern Powerhouse Rail programme.
