Mehmet Tütüncü

Mehmet Tütüncü graduated from Gazi University Mechanical Engineering Department and completed his master's degree in Maltepe University Industrial and Organizational Psychology Department. With an IRI scholarship, he attended 6 months of Production, Quality Control and Maintenance Practices in Italy, Strategic Marketing at Harvard Business School, IMD/Switzerland, Insead/Singapore.

Mehmet Tütüncü, who started his career as an engineer in the Ministry of National Education's Construction Department in 1981, worked as Production Manager, Operations Manager and General Manager at Best Rothmans Entegre Cigarette and Tobacco Industry Inc. between 1987-1996, respectively.

He started his first job at Yıldız Holding in 1996 as the Operations Coordinator at Ülker Gıda A.Ş. He served as Ülker Bisküvi and Chocolate Factories General Manager, Ülker Group Vice President, Food and Beverage Group President, Food Group President and Ulker International Group President.

In 2016, he was appointed as the Regional CEO responsible for Turkey, Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia to the pladis organization established within Yıldız Holding. In 2017, he continued his duty as Deputy CEO by taking the responsibility of South Asia and Latin America regions and pladis Global Information Systems and Business Models Transformation. Since October 2018, he has assumed the duties of Yıldız Holding's Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Yıldız Holding's CEO. Tütüncü is a member of the TÜGİS Board of Directors, and is a member of many Turkish and foreign sectoral organizations. He is also on the FoodDrinkEurope Board of Directors and the FoodDrinkEurope Liaison Committee.
