Carmen Samarghitan

Carmen Samarghitan, CIMP, has a diverse range of work experience in various roles related to data management and project management. Carmen currently works at ING Hubs Romania as the IT Area Lead for Data Management and also serves as the Chapter Lead for Esperanto, focusing on data definition, metadata, and data modeling. Prior to this, they held the position of Manager of the Data Management Competency Center at ING Bank Romania. Carmen has also worked as a Data Warehouse Manager and Project Manager at the same company. Carmen has previous experience working at ING Bank Ukraine as a Project Manager, where they were responsible for launching the ING Retail Bank and managing the business analyst team. Carmen began their career at ING as a Direct Channels Operator.

Carmen Samarghitan, CIMP, holds a Master's degree in Banking from Academia de Studii Economice din București. Carmen also pursued a Master's degree in Management of Banking Systems (MSBank) from the same institution. Prior to that, Carmen completed their undergraduate studies in Finance, Insurance, Banks, and Stock Exchange (FABBV) at Academia de Studii Economice din București. Carmen attended high school at Nicolae Kretzulescu, where they focused on Finance and advanced English. Additionally, Carmen has obtained various certifications such as Certified Information Management Professional, The Data Model Scorecard, Conceptual Data Modeling, Curating and Cataloging Data, Logical Data Modeling, and Metadata Management Fundamentals. These certifications were obtained from eLearningCurve and Trend Consult Group between 2022 and 2023.
