George-Ion Olteanu

George-Ion Olteanu has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. George-Ion currently holds the position of Chapter Lead in Data Governance at ING Hubs Romania since November 2018. Prior to this, they worked as a Data Protection Officer at Horia Hulubei National Institute of Physics and Nuclear Engineering - IFIN-HH. George-Ion also has experience as a Managing Partner at All to Know - Consultanta si Training.

Before their current roles, George-Ion held various executive positions at BCR and BRD. At BCR, they served as the Executive Director of Business Intelligence & Reporting Competence Center Division and later as the Executive Director of Business Information Center Division. At BRD, they worked as a Business Intelligence Manager and as the Compliance & Permanent Supervision Executive Director.

George-Ion has a wealth of experience in the financial sector, including roles at BRD Finance IFN SA as Deputy General Manager and Executive Director. George-Ion also served as the Vice President of ALB Romanian Association for Financial Non-Banking Institutions.

George-Ion began their career at BRD - Groupe Societe Generale as an Informatician and IT Auditor.

George-Ion Olteanu has a Post Graduated Diploma in Compliance and Risk from the International Compliance Association, which they obtained from 2011 to 2013. George-Ion also holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from the City College of Sheffield University, which they completed from 2006 to 2009. In addition, they have a degree in Finance, Insurance, Banking and Stock Exchange from the University of banking management, Bucharest, earned from 1999 to 2002. Furthermore, they have a degree in Automatics and Computers from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, completed from 1985 to 1991. George-Ion Olteanu has also obtained certifications in Leadership in Compliance from the International Compliance Association (ICA), Manchester Business School in 2013, and in IT Security Management (BS 7799-2 and ISO 17799) from TuvIT - Germany, FiaTest & Renar - Romania in 2008.
