Andrea Vanelli

Andrea Vanelli has a diverse range of work experience in the IT industry. Andrea began their career at Banca 121 as a Programmer Analyst from October 2000 to June 2002. Andrea then worked as a Java Framework Engineer at BPM, where they developed a banking teller system for Banca Popolare di Milano. From June 2003 to May 2005, they were a System Integrator at Hewlett Packard, developing a banking teller for Bank of CR Firenze.

Andrea then joined Banca Popolare Verona e Novara as a System Integrator, where they developed and maintained a Java solution for signature forms. Andrea also worked at Sibank Informatica S.r.l. as a System Integrator, where they re-engineered banking middleware and implemented the SOA approach.

In 2014, Andrea joined ING DIRECT Australia as an Advisory IT Architect for a short-term assignment. Andrea helped design a new customer-centric framework for ING Australia.

From August 2007 to October 2008, Andrea worked at ING Italia as an Application Designer, where they designed and implemented applicative solutions on three-tier architectures. Andrea then became a Senior Application Designer from November 2008 to May 2011, focusing on software quality measurement and application design.

Andrea returned to ING Italia as an Enterprise Solution Architect in June 2011. Andrea was responsible for managing the bank's application portfolio and leading PoCs & Pilots to improve integration between business processes and technology.

Currently, Andrea holds the position of Chief of Enterprise Architecture at ING Italia, where they are responsible for the enterprise, application, and information architecture discipline. Andrea works with the CIO and Executive Committee to define the IT strategy and align it with the business strategy. Andrea also collaborates with the headquarters to align global roadmaps with the country's ambitions. Additionally, they are involved in defining the medium and long-term IT strategy and acts as the deputy Head of Enterprise Architecture, leading a team of six architects. Andrea is also working on a multi-country solution to enable a global omnichannel approach.

Throughout their career, Andrea has demonstrated their expertise in enterprise architecture, solution design, and IT strategy.

Andrea Vanelli completed a course in Enterprise Architecture Foundation at SDA Bocconi in 2012. In 2011, Andrea also obtained a Enterprise Architecture Certification (CEA) from IBM. Their earlier education includes a degree in Perito Informatico Capotecnico from ITIS Volta Lodi, which was completed from 1992 to 1997. Additionally, Andrea has obtained several certifications including ITIL4 Digital and IT Strategic Leader, ITIL 4 Foundation certification, Cobit 5 Foundation, IELTS English certification, and TOGAF 9.1 Certification (Level 1) in the following years.
