Hugo van der Poll

Hugo van der Poll is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in risk management and financial operations. Since joining ING in 1997, Hugo has held various roles, including Program Director Non-Financial Risk Management for ING Commercial Banking Netherlands and Head of Operational Risk Management. Responsibilities have included the development and oversight of risk management systems, management of operational risk across multiple business lines, and compliance with regulatory frameworks such as Basle 2 and Sarbanes-Oxley. Hugo's prior experience at Ernst & Young as an audit manager further solidified expertise in financial compliance and reporting. Hugo holds a drs RA degree in business economics/accountancy from the University of Amsterdam.
