Mikel Bacaicoa Gorriti has extensive experience in the field of Health & Safety. Mikel is currently serving as the Health & Safety Global Director at Ingeteam, where they are responsible for global management, strategy definition, monitoring, and support in various areas. Prior to this, they worked as the Occupational Health & Safety Director at Ingeteam Power Technology for ten years, overseeing the health and safety of 1800 workers and implementing ISO 45001 procedures. Mikel also worked as a Health & Safety Coordinator at Ingeteam Energy S.A., where they focused on certification, safety inspections, risk assessments, and coordination of health and safety committees. Additionally, Mikel had experience as a Health & Safety Technician at Servicio Navarro de Salud, Hager Group, and Prevención Navarra, where they performed various technical tasks related to risk assessment, machinery adaptation, emergency plans, and training.

Mikel Bacaicoa Gorriti earned a degree in Industrial Technical Engineering with a specialization in Electricity from the Universidad Pública de Navarra in the years 1997-2001. Mikel later pursued a Master's degree in Occupational Risk Prevention, focusing on Safety, from the same institution in 2001-2002.
