Marta Leon Garcia

Marta Leon Garcia is a Product Research Engineer at Ingevity since June 2014, with a strong background in chemical engineering. Prior experience includes serving as a Post Doctoral Researcher at the University of Delaware from November 2011 to May 2014, focusing on the adsorption of liquid phase components on zeolites for biomass conversion, and conducting Ph.D. thesis research at Universidad de Oviedo, where work involved the synthesis and characterization of mixed oxides for carbon dioxide adsorption and ethanol condensation. Additional research experience includes a stint at the Institut de Recherches sur la Catalyse et l'Environnement de Lyon, examining basic surface sites of solid materials, as well as roles at HC Energia, managing waste products and carbon emissions data, and at ITMA Technology Center, performing chemical analysis of metallic materials. Marta holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de Oviedo, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in the same field.
