Kara Yost is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in program management and advocacy focused on enhancing housing accessibility for people with disabilities and low-income older adults. Currently serving as the Manager of Home Modifications at Inglis, Kara oversees the administration of multiple grants to provide free home modifications across Pennsylvania. Previously, as the Manager of Statewide Programs and Regional Housing Coordinator at Self-Determination Housing of Pennsylvania, Kara worked to connect stakeholders and increase housing choice and affordability. Kara's earlier roles as an Occupational Therapist and in various community-focused positions have built a robust foundation in universal design, community organizing, and program coordination. Educationally, Kara holds a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Philadelphia University, a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies/Affairs and History of Art and Architecture from the University of Pittsburgh, and completed a study abroad semester at Freie Universität Berlin, focusing on German language and art history.
