Janet Alves

Janet Alves is a seasoned compliance professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles across the telecommunications and regulatory sectors. Currently, Janet serves as the Director, Compliance Officer for the Americas at Ingram Micro, a position held since November 2024. Prior to this, Janet held the role of Director of Compliance Programs at The AES Corporation from December 2021 to November 2024 and served as Director of Compliance at Vrio Corp. from February 2016 to December 2021. Janet's career also includes significant experience as a Senior Regulatory Consultant at Verizon Business, where lobbying, regulatory evaluation, and compliance oversight were key responsibilities. Earlier roles include International Contract Manager at MCI and Analyst at the Investor Responsibility Research Center. Janet Alves possesses a Master's degree in International Affairs with a focus on Latin American Studies from The George Washington University and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Affairs from George Mason University.
