Angelina (Gigi) De Castro possesses extensive experience in the food science and technology sector, currently serving as Vice President of Solutions and Customized Formulations at Ingredion Incorporated since July 2006. Over the years, Angelina has held various leadership roles, including Vice President of Category, Texture & Healthful Solutions, and Sr. Category Director, honing skills in innovation, marketing, and growth platforms both in the US/Canada and Mexico. Prior to Ingredion, Angelina was a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at Texas A&M University and worked as a Sales/R&D Engineer at Innovadora de Esencias Aromas y Sabores. Angelina holds a Master’s degree in Food Science and Technology from Texas A&M University, a Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, and a certificate in Food, Nutrition, and Health from The University of British Columbia. Additionally, Angelina completed an Executive Education program at The Wharton School.
