Leslie DeYoung has over 21 years of experience in the technical writing field. Leslie began their career in 2000 at Motorola Solutions, where they served as a Principal Content Developer. During their time there, they excelled in creating technical documentation and remained with the company until 2014. In 2017, Leslie joined Initiate Government Solutions, LLC., where they held multiple roles as a Senior Technical Writer, Technical Project Manager, and SQL Developer. Leslie'sresponsibilities included developing and managing technical documentation projects and utilizing SQL for data analysis. In 2019, Leslie transitioned to Amazon (Alexa Auto) as a Senior Technical Writer, where they continued to contribute their expertise in creating user-friendly and comprehensive technical documentation. Overall, Leslie DeYoung's extensive work experience showcases their proficiency in technical writing and project management.

Leslie DeYoung has a diverse education history. In 1980, they began their undergraduate studies at the University of Oregon, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English in 1984. Leslie went on to pursue further studies in English at the University of Washington, where they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in 1985.

In 2015, Leslie decided to shift their focus towards the field of biomedical informatics and enrolled at Oregon Health & Science University. Leslie completed their studies there in 2016, earning a Master of Biomedical Informatics (M.B.I.) degree.

In addition to their formal education, Leslie has also obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Leslie became a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) through AHIMA in December 2016, and later obtained the Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) certification from the same institution in April 2018. Leslie also earned the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MSCA): SQL 2016 Database Development certification in January 2019 from Microsoft.

Continuing to expand their expertise, Leslie obtained the Certified Spark NLP Healthcare Data Scientist certification from John Snow Labs in October 2020. Leslie further demonstrated their proficiency by becoming Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals in September 2021. Most recently, in November 2022, Leslie obtained the SAS Certified Specialist: Base Programming Using SAS 9.4. certification from SAS.
