Jessica Owens

Jessica Owens is a distinguished entrepreneur and leader in the fields of technology, life sciences, and healthcare. As Co-Founder of Initiate Studios and General Partner at Initiate Ventures since 2020, Jessica focuses on partnering with exceptional entrepreneurs to develop transformative companies. Previously, as Co-Founder and Head of Commercial at GRAIL, Inc. from 2016 to 2020, Jessica contributed to early cancer detection initiatives. A strong background includes roles such as CEO and Founder of Spark Diagnostics, and GRAIL Spinout Lead at Illumina. Jessica also served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Versant Ventures and held positions in corporate strategy and business development at Genomic Health and Kleiner Perkins. Educational qualifications include an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Master of Science in Cancer Biology from Stanford University School of Medicine, and a BA in Biology from Agnes Scott College.
