Birte Finken

Birte Finken is an experienced health and education professional with a Master's Degree in Education and Learning focused on multiculturality from Roskilde University, and a Bachelor in Occupational Therapy from Oslo and Akershus University College. Currently serving as a Helsefagarbeider at Larvik kommune since January 2022, Birte also contributes to Gigtskolen as a DOF Voskenunderviser. With over a decade of involvement in voluntary work with Initiatives of Change, Birte coordinates workshops aimed at promoting peace and empowering women. Previous roles include a project employee in community initiatives, leader and coordinator for multicultural family programs, and tutor for immigrant support programs. Birte's extensive background is complemented by early academic studies in philosophy and crafts at Øytun Folkehøyskole.
