Grainne McAleese

Grainne McAleese has extensive experience in finance and leadership roles. Grainne is currently working as the Deputy Group CFO at Inizio since September 2021. Prior to their current position, Grainne served as the Head of Finance at UDG Healthcare plc from 2018 to August 2021. Grainne also held the role of General Manager, Ireland & Vice President Finance at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 2014 to 2017. Grainne's career includes significant contributions at Elan Pharmaceuticals, where they held various positions in Group & Corporate Finance, including Vice President, Finance - Corporate Controller & Chief Accounting Officer from 2011 to 2014. Grainne started their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Senior Associate before moving to KPMG as an Audit Senior. Grainne McAleese also served as a Non Executive Director at Science Foundation Ireland since 2018.

Grainne McAleese completed a diploma in Corporate Finance from Chartered Accountants Ireland in 2010-2011. Grainne then pursued a postgraduate diploma in Strategic Growth in the Pharma & Biotech Sector from University College Dublin in 2015-2016. Prior to that, in 2004-2005, they obtained certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the California Board of Accountancy. Grainne also holds a Chartered Accountant (ACA) degree from Chartered Accountants Ireland, which they earned in 2000-2003. In their earlier years, from 1996-2000, Grainne McAleese completed a Bachelor's and Master's degree (BA & MBS) in Accounting & Finance from Dublin City University.
