Sumaya Barakat is an experienced education and media professional currently serving as an Education Officer at INJAZ Al-Arab/JA MENA since August 2023. Prior to this role, Sumaya worked as an Animator at Plan International from April 2022 to March 2023, and as a Media Designer and Marketing Officer at The Orenda Tribe between October 2021 and January 2022. In 2021, Sumaya participated in the Product Design Fellowship: Towards Sustainability and Resilience with takween, focusing on sustainable design practices. Additional experience includes being an Artist in Residence at RIIFS Jordan, a Video Editor at Mateen متين, and a Children's Book Illustrator for author Priyanka at Brave Soul Kids Studio. Sumaya began professional endeavors as an intern at Tomandora Productions in 2019, following a Bachelor's degree in Animation and Multimedia from the University of Petra achieved in 2020.

Our teams of enthusiastic, dedicated, and visionary practitioners are committed to inspiring, preparing, and empowering Arab Youth to succeed in the global economy. Together with the private and public sectors, our programs provide hands-on learning in financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship skills. INJAZ Al-Arab vision is to make a difference in the MENA region by helping to create a sense of self-motivation, confidence empowerment, and a mindset that ‘anything is possible’ among Arab youth. We will foster a spirit of mentorship, passion, and service amongst business leaders in the Arab world. Our approach is based on the creation and implementation of effective empowerment programs for students that provide them with the tools they need to learn, grow, develop, and lead. Our supporters can witness the value of INJAZ Al-Arab and its tangible impact as we together create future entrepreneurs, business leaders, and a skilled and talented workforce.
