Zachary Nelson is a Materials Scientist at Inkbit since September 2021, with a strong background in chemistry and research. Previously, Zachary held roles as a Graduate Student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from August 2015 to September 2021, contributing to the Swager Group by establishing design principles for high-performance organic magneto-optical materials and developing a multistep convergent synthesis of a zwitterionic complex under the guidance of the Van Humbeck Group. Earlier research experience includes work as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Cornell University, where Zachary improved catalytic enantioselectivity, and at Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz, synthesizing bimetallic terpyridine photocatalysts. Zachary holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and Chemical Biology from Cornell University.
