Martin Schaffer

Martin Schaffer is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Commercial Manager at Nicaragua Energy Services since September 2002, overseeing operations at four generation plants, including wind and thermal facilities. Schaffer has been a member of the Board of Directors at the Ente Operador Regional since 2006, contributing to the governance of the Regional Electric Market (MER). Previous roles include positions in supervisory control and automation at Compañia Cervecera de Nicaragua S.A and Ingenio Azucarero AGROINSA, respectively. Schaffer holds a Master’s Degree in Economic Policy Management with a focus on Energy from Columbia University, an M.B.A. from INCAE Business School, and an Electronic Engineering degree from Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería UNI-RUSB.
