David Yan

David Yan has over 28 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. David began their career in 1991 as a Resident Doctor at Zhejiang TCM Hospital. In 1993, they joined Hoechst as a Regional Sales Manager. In 1999, they became a Product Manager at Solvey Pharmaceutical, where they successfully launched an antidepressant-Luvox in China. In 2001, they joined Serono Pharmaceutical as a Group Product Manager. From 2002 to 2005, they were a Senior Product Manager at Rhein Biotech, where they were responsible for a group of anti-infective products and managed sales of around RMB 200M annually. From 2005 to 2010, they were a Marketing Manager and Sr. Business Development & NPP Manager at AstraZeneca, where they developed and implemented brand strategies to maximize CNS brands' performance in China atypical antipsychotic market. From 2010 to 2018, they were a Director at Abbott China, where they developed inorganic growth strategies, sourced, structured, and implemented corporate development deals. Most recently, from 2018 to 2020, they were a Business Development Director at Eisai Pharmaceuticals India. Currently, they are a Sr. BD Director at Inmagene Biopharmaceuticals.

David Yan received their Bachelor degree in Medicine from Zhejiang University between 1986 and 1991. In 1997 and 1998, they attended the University of Canterbury for Business Administration without obtaining a degree. In 1998 and 1999, they obtained their Master degree in Business Administration from the Auckland Institute of Studies (AIS).
