Joel Klooster has extensive experience in the aviation industry. Joel started their career at Smiths Aerospace as a Software Engineer, developing new software features for Airbus Flight Management System. Joel later became a Systems Engineer, responsible for developing system and software-level requirements for new Flight Management System features and acting as a customer interface to Airbus and Boeing.

Joel then joined GE Aviation, where they held various roles. As a Program Manager in Strategic Initiatives, Air Traffic Management, they developed the technical strategy and product offerings for a new Air Traffic Management business. Joel also wrote invention disclosures and authored successful proposals, bringing in significant funding for technology development.

Joel also served as Vice President & General Manager, Asia Pacific & China (APAC), Aviation Digital, leading the establishment of a digital aviation business across 48 countries and building a strong commercial organization within the APAC region.

Most recently, Joel worked at GE Digital, Aviation Software as the Vice President of Product Management, Business Development & Strategy. In this role, they led the product management organization and oversaw the successful launch and commercialization of new aviation business and analytics software products.

Currently, Joel is employed as the Senior Vice President, Aircraft Operations & Safety at Inmarsat, where they apply their expertise in aviation operations and safety.
