Raymundo Villar

Raymundo Villar has a diverse range of work experience spanning several industries. Raymundo is currently working for Viasat as the Director of Market Development for Business Aviation since May 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Inmarsat as the Director of Market Development for Aviation, and as the Regional Director for Aviation in Latin America from 2015 to 2020. Before that, they were the Regional Sales Director for Latin America at Gogo, a company specializing in in-flight connectivity solutions. From 2009 to 2014, Raymundo worked at Honeywell Aerospace as a Senior Sales Manager for the Caribbean and Latin America region. Raymundo also held the position of Account Manager at EMS Aviation - Ottawa during the same period. Earlier in their career, Raymundo worked at EMS Aviation - Ottawa as a Sales Manager responsible for business development and sales activities in the Latin America region. Raymundo began their career in 1989 as an Officer in the Marina de Guerra del Peru. Raymundo also has experience working for Alcatel-Lucent as a Technical Sales Senior Manager and as a Senior Manager, leading a team of engineers across multiple countries. Additionally, they worked as a Consultant for the Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo - PNUD, providing consultancy work for the implementation of nationwide communications networks for public institutions in the Peruvian Government.

Raymundo Villar attended Jose Quinones High School from 1979 to 1983 and obtained a high school degree. From 1984 to 1988, they attended Escuela Naval del Peru, focusing on military studies. Later, from 1985 to 1989, Villar pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy. Finally, from 2004 to 2006, they pursued a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix.
