Mia Yang

Mia Yang is a seasoned professional in agricultural biotechnology, currently serving as a shareholder at Innatrix since September 2018, where the company focuses on developing sustainable bioproducts to combat crop diseases. Prior to this role, Mia held positions at J.R. Simplot Company from April 2017 to June 2018 as a project manager and R&D scientist, successfully managing regulated PVY field trial projects and establishing a fungal control program that significantly reduced fungicide use and increased crop yields. Earlier experience includes serving as a research scientist at Bayer from October 2013 to February 2017, where Mia led teams on nematode screening projects, developed high-throughput transgenic systems, and contributed to genome editing initiatives. Educational qualifications include a PhD in bioscience from Kansas State University and postdoctoral research in biotechnology from Tsinghua University.
