Gabriela Valentino, MSW, LSW, currently serves as a Primary Therapist at Innerspace Counseling since May 2023. Previously, Gabriela held positions including Clinical Social Work Intern and Teacher’s Aide at New Road Schools of New Jersey from June 2021 to May 2023, and Intern at IEP Youth Services Inc. as part of Project Stepping Stone from August 2021 to July 2022. Gabriela's earlier experience includes a role as a Behavioral Health and Addiction Intern at Lifeback Behavioral Health & Addiction from May 2020 to May 2021. While pursuing a Master's degree in Social Work at Rutgers University–New Brunswick, Gabriela also contributed as a Peer Educator in Anti-Violence Initiatives and a Research Assistant in the Clinical Outcomes and Processes Lab at The College of New Jersey, where significant research was conducted on rumination theories and mindfulness therapies. Additionally, Gabriela volunteered as a phone volunteer for the CONTACT Hotline and the National Suicide Prevention Hotline. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Clinical/Counseling and a minor in Public Health from The College of New Jersey.

Innerspace Counseling
Our Purpose, Mission, & Vision: We believe that balance can be found within when we are cared for and empowered. It is the mission of Innerspace Counseling to unlock balance within the mind by providing high levels of care to those needing intensive support. It is through this mission that we hope to realize our vision of holistic wellness for all. Mental Health IOP & PHP Specialists: Our Intensive Outpatient programs treat youth ages 8+, teens, and adults. Our Partial Care programs treat teens and adults. We are a primary mental health and co-occurring substance use treatment facility. Each of our all-inclusive programs include an individualized assessment and psychiatric evaluation, individual counseling, group therapy, medication management, and family sessions. Our elite team of board certified psychiatrists and licensed clinicians feel strongly that no individual is an island, and no issue can be treated in isolation. Through our systems based and comprehensive approach, we will work with our clients, and their families, to create lasting change. Whether you are suffering from depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, co-occurring substance use, anger issues, bipolar disorder, OCD, or mood disorders, Innerspace Counseling will provide solutions by treating each and every client with a treatment plan tailored to their needs.
