Richard Boxer is the current Clinical Advisor at Innerwell. Richard has extensive experience in the telemedicine field, having served as the Chief Medical Officer at WellVia from December 2014 to June 2017. In this role, they were responsible for building the clinical program into the nation’s largest telemedicine company, with 5,000,000 members by 2013. Richard also wrote the nation’s first medical guidelines for telemedicine and directed all clinical aspects of interactions with state and federal regulatory agencies.
Prior to their role at WellVia, Dr. Boxer served as a Medical Adviser at Pager from January 2014 to November 2018. In this role, they provided guidance on clinical best practices and helped develop Pager’s telemedicine offerings.
Dr. Boxer has also served as an adviser at AVIA since January 2014. In this role, they provide insights on the latest trends in healthcare and helps AVIA members navigate the complex healthcare landscape.
Richard Boxer's educational career includes completing a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as well as the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Richard also holds certification from the American College of Surgeons in Diplomate and the American Board of Urology in Diplomate.
