Javier Vera

Javier Vera, Ph.D. has worked in various roles throughout their career. Javier currently holds the position of Lead Engineer at INNIO Group. Previously, they served as the Engineering Manager at Zenith Power Products, where they led a team in developing and testing spark ignition engines. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior R&D Engineer at the same company, where they conducted engine calibration and developed thermodynamic and chemical kinetic models. Javier also has experience as a Senior Engineer at Hug Engineering AG, where they performed R&D and innovation work and managed engineering projects for the company's North American division. Additionally, they have worked as an Emissions Engineer at Generac Power Systems and as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they focused on investigating engine performance and emissions formation. Javier started their career as a Project Engineer at Tresmontes Lucchetti S.A - Grupo Empresarial Nutresa, assessing the viability of engineering projects, and as an Engineer Intern at Cecinas Llanquihue.

Javier Vera, Ph.D. has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) & P. Eng. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria, earned between 1999 and 2007. Javier then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, obtained from 2008 to 2010. Later, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison between 2010 and 2014. Additionally, Javier Vera obtained a Graduate Certificate in Business with a focus on Entrepreneurship from the Wisconsin School of Business during 2013 and 2014.
