Piotr Lis, PhD, is an experienced professional in the field of hydraulic systems simulation and power engineering. Currently serving as the Domain Owner for the Innovation Team at INNIO Group since October 2018, Piotr leads a 1D Hydraulic Systems Simulation Team, focusing on project management, team mentoring, and the development and management of simulation models and tools. Concurrently, Piotr is an Assistant Professor and Research Assistant at Warsaw University of Technology, leading research on waste heat recovery, hydrogen, energy storage, and power generation. Previous roles include Lead Engineer and Advanced Engineer positions at GE Power, specializing in hydraulic systems simulation for Jenbacher Gas Engines, and CFD simulation for aeroderivative gas turbines. Piotr's educational background includes a PhD and MSc in Power Engineering from Warsaw University of Technology, along with a Licentiate degree in Quantitative Methods and a BSc in Power Engineering.
