Project Procurement Lead at innocent drinks

Barry Youngman has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Barry started their career at NNC Ltd as an R&D Fluid Flow and Heat Transfer Analyst, where they supervised the first statutory inspection and conducted remedial work for a nuclear power station. Barry also gained experience in stress analysis and proposal engineering during their time at NNC Ltd.

Barry then transitioned into the automotive industry, working as a Technical Purchasing Co-ordinator at T&N Ltd. Here, they developed purchasing strategies, improved supplier partnerships, and implemented IT packages for utility management.

Barry later joined RHM - Food Manufacturer as a Group Utilities Manager, responsible for managing a £54m spend across various utilities. During this time, they became known as the "internal expert of choice" for energy-related matters.

Barry's procurement expertise continued to evolve as they took on the role of Director of Procurement at RHM - Culinary Brands Division. Barry was accountable for a £172m spend, procurement from over 20 countries, and the development of direct reports. Barry played a significant role in the transformation journey of the company's procurement practices.

Moving on to Premier Foods, Barry held various positions, including Head of Integration and Head of Procurement - Systems, Projects & Governance. Barry designed and implemented best-in-class procurement practices and systems, managed strategic projects, and provided risk management expertise.

Barry also worked as a Procurement Consultant at Linx S2P Solutions Ltd, where they assisted Essential Cuisine in establishing procurement governance, strategic supplier negotiations, and resource development.

Most recently, Barry served as the Brexit Programme Manager at Premier Foods, responsible for managing the Brexit program.

In 2019, Barry joined innocent drinks as a Project Procurement Lead, where they currently work.

Barry Youngman obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Coventry University, which they completed between 1982 and 1986.
