Etienne de Villers-Sidani

Etienne de Villers-Sidani has a diverse work experience in the field of neuroscience. Etienne is the Founder and CEO of Innodem Neurosciences, a startup company in Montreal that focuses on designing science-based affordable eHealth apps for individuals with neurological disorders. In addition to their CEO role, they also serve as the Chief Science Officer of the company. Etienne started this venture in December 2016 and continues to lead the company.

Prior to their entrepreneurial journey, Etienne held academic positions at McGill University and the Montreal Neurological Institute. At McGill University, they worked as an Associate Professor of Neurology, starting in October 2010. Etienne also served as the Director of the NeuroSensory Biomarking Laboratory at McGill University starting in October 2019.

With their background in academia and entrepreneurship, Etienne brings a unique combination of skills and expertise to the field of neuroscience.

Etienne de Villers-Sidani began their education journey in 1993 at Université de Montréal, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. Etienne completed their undergraduate studies in 1996.

After that, Etienne enrolled at McGill University from 1996 to 2005. During their time at McGill, they earned their MD CM (Doctor of Medicine and Master of Surgery) degree in the field of Neurology. In 2005, they also obtained their certification as a Neurologist from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Following their medical education, Etienne pursued post-doctoral studies at the University of California, San Francisco from 2005 to 2010. During this period, they focused on Brain Plasticity and Behavioral Neurology.
