Yu Liu

Yu Liu is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and development within the chemical industry. Currently serving as the Research and Development Manager at Innophos since January 2011, Yu Liu oversees the corporate synthesis and development lab, driving new product development and supporting process improvements for manufacturing plants. Previous roles at Innophos included Senior Scientist and Staff Scientist/Commercial Development Specialist, where Yu Liu led technical support initiatives and new product projects, notably in the commercial development of asphalt additives in China. Prior to Innophos, Yu Liu contributed as a Scientist at Wildcat Discovery Technologies, Inc., focusing on novel Li-ion battery electrode materials. Yu Liu began an academic career as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania after earning a PhD in Chemistry from Rice University and a BS in Chemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China.
