Jian Liu

Jian Liu, M.D./Ph.D., is an accomplished professional in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, currently serving as the Head of Business Development at InnoStar since June 2025. With extensive experience at Nitto BioPharma from January 2016 to July 2025, Jian Liu held several pivotal roles, including Director of Toxicology and Principal Scientist, focusing on toxicity assessments and assay development for drug candidates. Prior to that, Jian Liu was the Chief Scientist/Group Lead at Nitto Denko Corporation from April 2008 to March 2015, contributing to biological assay development and pharmacology evaluation. Jian Liu's expertise also includes leading biological assay development at Nitto Denko Technical Corporation from June 2004 to March 2008, successfully marketing gene transfection reagents. Academic credentials include a PhD in Pharmacology from the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica and a medical degree from XuZhou Medical University, supplemented by postdoctoral training in Molecular Genetics and Neuropharmacology at the University of California, San Diego.
