Philip van Gastel

Philip van Gastel has a diverse work experience, starting in 1993 as a Project Engineer at March Microwave Systems. In this role, they worked on software development, hardware design, and technical training for clients in the defense, government, and consumer industries.

In 1996, Philip joined Ericsson where they held various roles over a span of 22 years. Philip worked as a Support Engineer, Product Support Specialist, Line Manager, Solution Architect, and Senior Solution Architect. As a Solution Architect, they were responsible for finding opportunities, translating them into sales, and overseeing the entire product lifecycle. Philip also served as the Product Owner for the Mobile Virtual Network Enabler (MVNE) service to Vodafone.

Since 2018, Philip has been working at InnoTractor as an E2E IoT Solution Architect. In this position, they are involved in designing IoT hardware and embedded firmware, as well as developing the associated backend/frontend platform in the Azure cloud. Philip also serves as the firmware product owner, using the DevOps Agile method to deliver efficient services to both internal and external customers.

Philip van Gastel completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering - Telecommunications Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, where they attended from 1986 to 1991. Prior to that, they obtained a diploma from Gertrudislyceum Roosendaal, where they studied from 1979 to 1985.

In addition to their formal education, Philip has obtained various certifications throughout their career. These certifications include ITILv3 foundation from EXIN your ICT competence partner in July 2014, Sybase Replication Server Administrator from Sybase in February 2002, Disksuite System Administrator from Sun Microsystems in May 1999, Solaris System Administration from Sun Microsystems in June 1998, and Sybase System Administrator from Sybase in May 1998. Philip also completed the Leadership Core Curriculum at Ericsson in January 2007.
