Marco Schembri

Marco Schembri is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technical consulting and maritime research. Currently serving as a Technical Consultant at Innova Finance since September 2023, Marco facilitates R&D projects and strategic public investments for innovative enterprises. Previously, Marco held the position of Head of Research Funding and Networking Business Unit at CETENA S.p.A. from February 2003 to September 2023. Marco also held various leadership roles within ECMAR, including Chairman, Vice-chairman, and Member of the Council, where the focus was on developing unified strategies for European maritime research. Prior experience includes roles in project management at Italdesign Giugiaro from January 1998 to February 2003. Marco holds a Laurea degree in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, earned between 1988 and 1996.
