David Hawkes

David Hawkes is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in intellectual property management, strategic partnerships, and technology investment. Currently serving as the IPR Valorization Leader for Mobile Networks at Nokia since April 1999, David has held various leadership roles, including Portfolio Strategy Manager and Senior Director of Product Management, where responsibilities encompassed defining strategic initiatives for 5G technologies and engaging with key technology partners. David's career also includes significant contributions to Alcatel-Lucent in roles such as Director of IP Licensing, successfully growing the licensing function, and experience in managing venture fund investments as a board member at Innovacom and I-Source Gestion. Prior positions include Patent Manager at Canal+ and Patent Manager at Schlumberger, complemented by foundational training as a European Patent Attorney. David holds a BA in Physics from the University of Oxford.
