Malcolm Fraser

President & CEO at Innovacorp

Malcolm Fraser is president and CEO of Innovacorp, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In this role, Malcolm oversees Innovacorp’s work to find, fund and foster innovative Nova Scotia start-ups that strive to change the world.

Malcolm joined Innovacorp in October 2017. He was a leader in Canada’s digital sector for the previous 20 years, earning recognition and awards for innovation, management and community leadership.

In 1995, Malcolm started ISL Internet Solutions Ltd., later rebranded as MODE, and grew the company to be Atlantic Canada’s top digital agency. ISL coached many businesses through digital transformation, including Stanfield’s, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and Tourism Nova Scotia. In 2016, MODE was acquired by Vancouver-based digital marketing agency FCV Interactive, when Malcolm joined the firm’s executive team.

The Nova Scotia native has a bachelor of commerce in marketing and economics from Mount Allison University. He is a board member at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, research committee chair at Destination Canada, a board member with the Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation and Sobey Art Foundation, and past chair of ITANS, now Digital Nova Scotia.
