Manager, Cape Breton at Innovacorp

Robert Pelley is a business professional with over three years of experience in the craft and design industry. Robert currently serves as the Manager of Cape Breton at Innovacorp, a position they have held since May 2019. Prior to this, they spent two and a half years as a member of the Board of Directors for the Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design.

Pelley has been instrumental in helping the Centre evolve into a well-respected enterprise development organization. Robert has assisted artisans in the development of new products, the provision of professional development programs, the fostering of regional development and the coordination of trade shows and missions in various parts of the world. These activities happen through partnerships with government and other craft agencies.

Pelley is a dedicated and passionate advocate for the craft and design industry on Cape Breton Island. Robert is committed to promoting excellence in craft and design through education and training. Their work has helped make the Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design a leading force within the craft sector on Cape Breton Island.

Robert Pelley has an Executive Certificate from MIT Sloan School of Management in Strategy & Innovation, as well as a VC & Private Equity certification from the Venture Capital Institute. Robert also has a B.Comm. from Dalhousie University in Marketing, Management, and a Memorial Composite High School diploma. Finally, they are certified as a Marketing Research Professional (CMRP) by the Marketing Research and Intelligence Association.
