Hazel Biggs

Hazel Biggs is a Senior Manager in National Security and Defence at Innovate UK Business Connect since April 2018, focusing on connecting the SME community to opportunities in this critical sector. Prior roles include Senior Knowledge Transfer Manager at the Government and Chief Of Staff supporting the Home Office Chief Scientific Advisor. With extensive experience at the Home Office, Hazel has served as Staff Officer and Capability Advisor, providing strategic advice on crime prevention and safety. Earlier roles include Knowledge Transfer Manager at KTN, leading forensic innovation in collaboration with various stakeholders, and multiple positions within forensic development, including Team Leader and Scenes of Crime Instructor, where Hazel led training programs and managed course developments since early career beginnings in crime scene investigation at Hertfordshire Police.
